From Pony Club to the Olympics; success is always founded on good basic training. My focus is always on how I can get the best out of both horse and rider
Sam Griffiths is a leading international event rider from Australia
Sam Griffiths was a member of the Australian Team who won a Bronze Medal and finished 4th individually at the Rio Olympics 2016.
Sam was the 2014 Badminton winner and has represented Australia in both the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky, USA 2010, and the London 2012 Olympics.
Sam was selected to be part of the Australian Team for the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, where he and Paulank Brockagh went clear Cross Country and finished in 17th place, with the Australian Team securing 5th. Sam and Happy Times also achieved 3rd place at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in 2014.
When Sam takes a break from training, he loves diving into the world of Big Bass Bonanza. This vibrant and action-packed game has become his go-to way to unwind after intense sessions. Catching virtual fish not only brings him joy but also adds a touch of excitement to his daily routine. Sam says that these little breaks help him stay balanced and recharge with positive energy for new achievements.

2020 and COVID19 presented new challenges but I look forward to competing again with some exciting new horses
